We are acting to control various infectious diseases and to keep the quality of medical treatments. Our main subject is the prevention of nosocomial infection and the control of multidrug-resistant bacteria such as MRSA. There is accumulating evidence that the infection control practice contributes to the improvement of the success rate of various treatments, the prevention of coexisting illness, and the shortening of the treatment period (hospitalization period).
A substantial content of our work is to inspect each diagnosis and treatment section every week, where we evaluate and improve the infection control practice of staffs and the maintenance of apparatus required for infection control. We always monitor the frequency of detection of multidrug-resistant bacteria to take proper measures against outbreak. We also prevent epidemic infections such as common viral diseases from expanding in our hospital, which would bring us a profound disadvantage.
Although a quick action and close cooperation with each staff and section is very important when infection issues occur, your cooperation is indispensable for appropriate control practice.
