Division of Maternal and Fetal Medicine (MFICU)
Here, the gentle hands of caring professionals help your infant into the world. Right in your suite, these caregivers have immediate access to the most advanced equipment and monitoring systems, welcoming baby more safely. Twenty-four-hour obstetrical and neonatological services are also available in house, as is immediate access to superior perinatal and neonatal care services, should you ever need them. Our target patient is not only the pregnant woman having any problem but also the baby having any problem in fetal life. Multidisciplinary team takes care of the patient and provides highly advanced medical procedures.
Division of Neonatology (NICU)
For babies born prematurely or with medical problems that require intensive care, we provide the highest level of neonatal intensive care available in the South-Western Yamaguchi region. Our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) has neonatologists in house around the clock. Our experts provide a full range of neonatal intensive care, including everything from treatment of respiratory problem to complex neurological injury. Today, our hospital remains the only one in Yamaguchi prefuture to offer nitric oxide treatment and certain other advanced neonatal care techniques. These highly advanced interventions are responsible for saving many young lives every year at Yamaguchi University Hospital.
