Radiation therapy is one of the most important modality for cancer treatment, as with surgery and chemotherapy. It is minimally invasive and superior in avoidance of functional and morphological loss of healthy organs. The number of the patients treated with radiotherapy is increasing year by year, and social requirements are being more enlarged, especially in preparation for the aging of society.
Our treatment methods include external beam radiotherapy and intraluminal brachytherapy. For external beam radiotherapy we have 4 treatment rooms. Three rooms contain, linear accelerator with real time tumor tracking radiotherapy system. Using these modalities we can perform 3D-conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) and more specific high-precision treatments, such as stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). For brachytherapy we have a remote afterloading system (RALS) with Ir-192, which makes it possible to perform high-dose rate radiotherapy for uterine cancer.
We provide the best treatment for each patient in cooperation with the surgeons, medical oncologists and other experts for cancer treatments.
